National eGiving Day-June 20, 2020

The past few months have been challenging for all of us.  Despite temporary closures of parishes like ours, we have never waned in our faith as Catholics or in our commitment to our shared mission and ministry.  This year, I wanted to let you know that Saturday, June 20, 2020 is not only the first day of summer, it’s also National eGiving Day (electronic giving) and an opportunity for you to help St. Andrew by the Bay.

We can take joy in this celebration, as the response to eGiving in our church, especially over the last few months, has been wonderful and is a continued blessing to our parish!  Please consider signing up for our On-line Giving program and help power our ministry during the summer so we can continue to meet the physical and spiritual needs of those in our parish family and community impacted by the coronavirus and possible job losses.  By embracing on-line giving, you will simplify your giving and help provide our parish with consistent support. This is especially important in the summer months, when many families may be out of town some weekends--while others may still be uncomfortable attending Mass in person.

CLICK HERE to join in this challenge by signing up for Online Giving.  May God bless you and your loved ones during the summer and throughout the year.

Fr Jeff Farewell Drive-By June 28

The Knights of Columbus are coordinating a Farewell Drive-By on Sunday, June 28, to give all parishioners the opportunity to wave farewell and offer well-wishes to Fr. Jeff from their car as they drive in a slow procession through the Church parking lot.  Specific times and safety details (to coordinate traffic flow) will be coming soon via Flocknote.

Mass Intentions

We are unable to schedule Mass intentions or send Mass cards at this time.  If you would like to have a loved one remembered in prayer during a Mass, please email Fr. Jeff the person's name, pronunciation and whether they are living or deceased no earlier than the day prior to the Mass, and Fr. Jeff will include their name in the Prayer of the Faithful.

Building and Maintenance Fund

This weekend, the second Sunday of the month, our second collection is for our Building and Maintenance Fund. Your contributions enable us to keep our parish facilities and equipment in top operating condition and allow us to congregate and worship in pleasant surroundings.  Thank you for your support!

Caring for Creation

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency estimates that textile waste occupies nearly 5 percent of all landfill space. This month, shop for clothing at a consignment store instead of buying new. This might feel like an obstacle while we're social distancing, but you can find great online sites for browsing secondhand clothes, including ThredUp and Poshmark.
