SABB Doves

About the Doves

The SABB Doves includes all of the 4th & 5th graders of family parishioners here at St. Andrew by the Bay. The Doves are joined by peer ministers from Middle School, called the Middle School Disciples.  The vision of the Doves has 3 main principles:

• Service – Volunteer Activities
• Fellowship – Building Catholic Solidarity
• Worship – Praising God at Mass

When combining these three elements into one event, we are building a sense of catholic community and solidarity with their peers here at St. Andrew by the Bay, as well as nurturing a heart that serves Christ by serving others. The goal is to lead them ever closer to Christ, the Catholic Church, and each other before their transition to Middle School.

The Doves have partnered with Stef Ripple to help share the principles of Stefanie Ashdown's life; be thankful, be helpful, be kind.  We greatly appreciate Stef Ripple for sponsoring our event t-shirts and we hope that you visit their website at stefripple.org to learn more about their foundation.

Prayer for the Doves

Loving God,

You have blessed our church with youth who shine with the light of Christ.  Thank you for equipping each one of these children with gifts that they share in service to others.  Thank you for their willingness to respond to your call to serve with gladness. 

Sustain them on the days when they are tired, give them strength to serve with patience, mercy, and grace.  And as they serve you, give them joy through glimpses of your Kingdom in the faces of those whom they serve.

Through Him who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit we pray,
