The mission of the Prayer Shawl Ministry is to offer comfort and prayer to those in need of a tactile reminder that they are always loved by God. The beauty of this ministry is that it connects God's people in such a concrete way - from the hands of the knitter/crocheter to the arms of the giver to the arms of the person receiving the shawl or stuffed angel/animal - God's love is in motion.

Knitters and crocheters of all skill are invited to be part of this ministry If you'd like to learn, we have someone who'd like to teach you.
Our prayer shawls are knitted or crocheted by women who come together in our knitting circle once a month or work at home joined to us by intention and prayer. Hundreds of shawls have been given to people in our parish and around the world: a woman going through a difficult divorce; a grieving man planning the funeral of his wife; a child in California suffering with bone cancer; a woman in South Africa going through radiation therapy. We pray for all who receive our shawls each time we gather.
This ministry connects God's people in a concrete way - from the hands of the knitter to the arms of the giver to the shoulders of the person receiving the shawl, God's love is in motion.
Knitters and crocheters of all skill levels are welcome. If you are just learning, our experienced knitters would be glad to help you.
