National eGiving Day-June 20, 2020

The past few months have been challenging for all of us.  Despite temporary closures of parishes like ours, we have never waned in our faith as Catholics or in our commitment to our shared mission and ministry.  This year, I wanted to let you know that Saturday, June 20, 2020 is not only the first day of summer, it’s also National eGiving Day (electronic giving) and an opportunity for you to help St. Andrew by the Bay.

We can take joy in this celebration, as the response to eGiving in our church, especially over the last few months, has been wonderful and is a continued blessing to our parish!  Please consider signing up for our On-line Giving program and help power our ministry during the summer so we can continue to meet the physical and spiritual needs of those in our parish family and community impacted by the coronavirus and possible job losses.  By embracing on-line giving, you will simplify your giving and help provide our parish with consistent support. This is especially important in the summer months, when many families may be out of town some weekends--while others may still be uncomfortable attending Mass in person.

CLICK HERE to join in this challenge by signing up for Online Giving.  May God bless you and your loved ones during the summer and throughout the year.

Fr Jeff Farewell Drive-By June 28

The Knights of Columbus are coordinating a Farewell Drive-By on Sunday, June 28, to give all parishioners the opportunity to wave farewell and offer well-wishes to Fr. Jeff from their car as they drive in a slow procession through the Church parking lot.  Details and signup were sent out via Flocknote.  Contact the office for more information 410-974-4366.

Mass Intentions

We are now able to schedule Mass intentions by phone only (the parish office remains closed to the public) for Masses dated July 1 and after.  To schedule, call the office Monday-Friday between the hours of 8:30am-12:30pm.  Donations for Mass intentions may be mailed to the office or dropped in the offertory with "Mass Intention" in the memo.  We are unable to distribute Mass cards to parishioners at this time; however, parish staff will mail Mass cards directly from the office to the recipient upon request.  Prayer requests submitted to Fr. Jeff now through June 27 will be offered during the Prayer of the Faithful at the following day's Mass.

Caring for Creation

Did you know you may have a green power option available?  Not everyone can put up solar panels or connect to a windmill, but more and more electric utilities are offering green power options, where you can sign up to get some, most or all of your electricity from renewable energy sources. While some utilities may charge a small premium, you likely will find savings in your bill over time. Contact your local electric utility today — it will be worth it.
